Marcia Frellick

Marcia Frellick has been a professional journalist for more than 35 years and a healthcare journalist, based in Chicago, since 2008. She regularly covers primary care and specialties including infectious disease, dermatology, and oncology/hematology. Her work spans clinical news, drug development, conference reporting, lifestyle issues, equity gaps, and the business of medicine. In addition to her reporting for Medscape, MDedge, and WebMD, she has written for Oncology News Central, Science News, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and Northwestern Magazine. Her move to healthcare writing came after a progression of editing roles at St. Cloud Times, Iowa City Press-Citizen, and The Cincinnati Enquirer. Frellick received a bachelor's in science degree from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.
