Registered nurses (RNs) told Medscape in a survey that their total compensation jumped by nearly 7% from a year earlier. For licensed practical nurses (LPNs), the increase was just over 7% on average. RNs were a little more likely to express satisfaction with their pay than LPNs were, which makes sense because they typically earn more.
