F. Perry Wilson, MD, MSCE

Perry Wilson, MD, MSCE, is a nationally recognized physician, researcher, educator, and writer.

Since 2018, Wilson has appeared each week on Medscape’s Impact Factor, a video series in which he breaks down important new research for physicians and other healthcare providers. Wilson is also the voice behind the Medscape Medical Minute, a daily digest of top stories on Medscape.

A graduate of Harvard College, Wilson earned his MD degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and did his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Wilson is on the faculty of the Yale School of Medicine, where he is an associate professor and director of the Clinical and Translational Research Accelerator (CTRA).

He is the author of How Medicine Works and When It Doesn’t: Learning Who to Trust to Get and Stay Healthy (Grand Central; 2023), and the creator of the popular online course "Understanding Medical Research: Your Facebook Friend Is Wrong" on the Coursera platform. Wilson's published research is available on Google Scholar.
